Saturday Night's Alright For Dining...

Had a great evening with two good buddies.  We hit a local restaurant with a nice style of bistro north american cuisine with a european flair and spent HOURS over dinner.  Chat ranged from our artwork (all three of us bead, tangle and explore mixed media and fibre arts) to the state of healthcare!  What a great time we had.  I felt a bit revved up still when I got home so had another taste of tangling to slow myself down.  I played with another hand-based piece this time and used a sanguine pen, shaded with Conte crayon.  I like the different feel it gives the piece.  Do you?
Happy Saturday!

  1. Absolutely fabulous! The henna colouring is very effective. Thank you for the reference to the Indian child site, our grandchildren (7 & 5)are staying for a week so we will be using as many creative sources as possible.

  2. Your hands are so beautiful!
This one has an indian flair – supposed it´s due to the collur. It´s like this henna-painting / -tattooing they do.
    Lovely!

  3. This is beautiful! I love the tangle in the thumb, and also all the swirly things growing out of the middle finger. the Sanguine gives a wonderful effect.

  5. @PhineThank you, Phine. I hadn't really thought of it as henna-coloured, but you're the second to remark on it. On looking at it again, I think you're both right! *G*

  6. @JoniThanks, Joni. I just had a "colour required" kind of energy going on and I think the organic, flowy kind of lines are my most elemental response to paper and pen... I'm really glad you like it.
